Recently, Jacob and Megan had the incredible opportunity to represent Ice Cream Factory at SIGEP, one of the world’s leading conferences for ice cream and baked goods. This experience not only deepened their expertise but also reinforced why our approach to making ice cream stands out from the rest.   

Bringing Back Knowledge from SIGEP to Enhance Our Baked Inclusions and ice cream

At SIGEP, hosted in Rimini, Italy, Jacob and Megan quickly realized just how unique Ice Cream Factory is within the industry. While most ice cream companies source their inclusions from third-party suppliers, we make our own from scratch. When they shared this with other industry professionals, they were met with looks of shock and admiration. The level of care and quality we put into our inclusions sets us apart—something that was evident in every conversation they had. 

Beyond industry recognition, SIGEP provided them with invaluable insights into cutting-edge baking technology and equipment. They explored ways to enhance our production process without compromising the handcrafted quality that makes our inclusions special. Every lesson they brought back helps us refine our methods, ensuring our ice cream remains unmatched in taste and texture. 

More Than Just a Conference—A Global Connection 

One of the most memorable aspects of their trip was the connections they made with fellow bakers and ice cream professionals from around the world. On their very first night, they found themselves around a table with bakers from Canada, sharing stories and insights from their respective corners of the industry. Those conversations turned into friendships, leading to personal invitations to visit Canada, New York, and even Australia. 

For Jacob and Megan, the experience was both professionally enriching and personally inspiring. Seeing the global scale of the industry gave them a renewed sense of purpose and pride in what they do at Ice Cream Factory. More importantly, it reaffirmed the importance of collaboration and learning from others to push the boundaries of what’s possible in ice cream innovation.
